Ok. We got confirmation that the karaoke thing actually happened. But turns out it's now gotten even more weird.

You guys think T is now part of N too?

Is this a case where fiction ended up becoming reality?

Are we sure Fukushima made it up..or does it really related to N?

Here's the first part of my comment last chapter:
We are not necessarily seeing things completely from Fukushima's N propaganda but usually from first-person POVs being recalled from memory like how the first chapter was from the guy's POV while the parents' day was from the girl's POV. Memory is fallible and could have easily been influenced/rewritten by Fukushima's and mass media's proliferation of the existence of N.

After the 10-year time skip, the guy from the first story realized that the N thing wasn't actually true especially since nothing else has happened to him after that besides the abusive mom approaching him. I get the feeling that the chapter about the punks using the N name to do some banditry is cluing us into the fact that maybe a lot of the N shit in the news are just people either using it as an excuse, a cop out explanation for events (especially for the Japanese police which might use it to save face/not investigate for a motive further), or using the name for their own ends. And therefore, most, if not all, of the story might not be supernatural in nature at all.
2/2 events so far we can tell are all Fukushima's embellishments, we'll see with the further flashbacks.

Yep, it indeed seems the case that we are not seeing a "faithful narrator"'s reports, but rather Mr. Yuki Fukushima's own writings for his magazine. The fact that Takkun is established to have really existed, however, puts a wrinkle in the rug. We should therefore conclude that several of these events—God, Takkun—were real, and were really supernatural. However, they were instead unrelated.

In a way, that makes Fukushima's crime the greater. not only is he publishing mendacious reporting, but in so doing he has prevented the truth from being sought out! The girl has been victimized twice: once by the malicious entity in the karaoke bar, and again by the human occult writer more interested in advancing his career than in helping this girl.

I wonder if there's a lesson to be drawn here, perhaps about the Satanic Panic.

it would be interesting if there was separate supernatural stuff happening unconnected to N lol

So let's say the first half of the story is made up of Fukushima's bullshitting. Begins with the middle schooler boy, think that he was the one that caused their deaths. The God chapter might have been exaggerated actually, I think it was more of a kid mispronouncing or misspelling (since the story was expanded from her essay) her foreigner stepfather's name, idk about the massacre though. The neet and the policeman's death was caused by Fukushima no doubt, other cases let's say are pure irrationality. I don't get why Fukushima was interested in that one news(I checked it was 'reconstruction beyond religious boundaries') in chapter M. In M, the N was said to be the 13 steps or the mysteries leading to tragedies by fukushima, if you total up the tragedies to the N chapter, and I'm being generous in what counts as tragedies, there are only about 12 tragedies [I didn't count M(fukushima past), F being a two parter about that mother] so idk maybe there's one more tragedies left. It could just be a "leave it up to interpretation"

There's a good chance there's an event that still hasn't been shown between the previous events and the flash-forward to the interviews. Or Fukushima will interpret an event that will happen after or during the interview as N's work.

What if Fukushima was the real cause of the N phenomenon? Like the real mystery is that his bullshit writings always turn out to actually happen, which he was initially spooked out by but then decided to capitalize on, and he even did some things himself so he can write crazier and crazier articles. An example of Fukushima directly influencing events is the one dude who was tricked into looking at the weird shrine and then got Fukushima'd in the head.

There is something called a 'tulpa' where ppl will it into existence or something like, "If enough ppl believe it, it becomes real"

Yeah, that was what I was getting at, perhaps Fukushima is the only one actually cursed and all the weird shit happened because he wanted them to happen, and the N God happily obliged.
