Ah yes! this manga is really cute, I'm glad to see it back thank you!
Hmmm the part with the lunchbox (bento) being special was a little confusing to me, but everything else I could understand just fine.
Her Maid made her that lunchbox that's why it's special, so she can eat it all right :win:

Not a fan of unedited MTL.
I checked the raw and this manga is simple enough that if it's MTL, I don't see much deviated from the real meanings at all. That said, the translation itself is unedited and rather unrefined.

The quality in general is, well, horrendous. Take a quick look at https://forums.mangadex.org/threads/easy-scanlation-guide.1170618/ to get an idea of what to do. Alternatively, just read literally any chapters released by quality groups and try to learn why their uploads look and read better.

I don't know what you consider MTL but i did everything by hand and myself.
I did consulted with various data bases since I'm still learning Japanese, and I believe when translating something you should be closest to the original as possible so that's why it could be a little rough sometimes.
I'm sorry if I didn't met your expectations.
I will try to always improve myself and aim for the best.
I believe that eventually I will make this manga justice that it deserve.

I know it's not an excuse but i saw much worse things, even for top followed manga.
Did you saw "Land of the Lustrous" chapter 42?
Edit: What do you mean "unedited and rather unrefined", I TLed it and edited again when i was TSing it, then checked 4 times the whole thing before uploading it and i thought it was rather decent, not "horrendous". English is not my native language but i checked few times every line with online English grammar check.

@Odium : The translation does sound kind of rough (as in "not as flowy as native conversations) here and there, but it's readable, you did okay enough (could be better with experience, but for now it's still serviceable), don't let naysayers drag you down unfairly.

You really should use better raw, though.

Top followed manga doesn't imply them having proper scanlations. You see shitty groups sniping series with a high following with their stupid MTL shit all the time for some quick views. Hell, even the official localization for that series sucks ass.
SleepySlime, Boredom Society, Danke for reading are some of the groups with consistently high quality uploads. These are the ones everyone should learn from.

1. Your TS is, frankly speaking, bad. Most panels are not properly centered. There's a rather detailed (albeit not comprehensive) TS guide in the thread I linked above, do read it.
2. You "thought" it's decent when in fact your work is objectively lacking in quality. That's what an editor is for, you need another set of eyes to look at your work from another point of view. Your text might be grammatically correct (not all:
bPZtHBJ.png
), but the translation itself is very unnatural and feels awkward to read. This, unfortunately, is something that only experience can fix. Either that or a good editor.

Now, a bunch of issues that can easily add up and sour the reading experience:
m55ioB9.png

Bad grammar and incorrect capitalization. You love to plug uppercase in randomly.

z9MHJJX.png

More incorrect capitalization. "n? - Aa" is frankly just bad. "Hmm? Oh."
Do not capitalize "san".

WbR3bRf.png

Too literal translation of ヘーキヘーキ.

lHmA7wr.png

No punctuation whatsoever.

H2aCJnC.png

Butcher's.

And there's a lot more but roughly it's the same issues across all pages.

Its amazing that people always have to complain about the translation of series instead of just being happy that someone actually makes it possible for us to read all these series🤦🏼‍♂️

It's good to constructively criticise to improve translation/redrawing/typesetting quality of someone who's willing to spend the effort, and rooting out low effort bad translations is important too. How to do criticism right and balanced is not too easy.

This is definitely rougher than the first translation group, but since the other team seemingly abadoned this one it's up for grabs according to street rules. I always appreciate initiative of people trying to pick up dropped series. Here's to hoping you hone your technique and continue to improve.

This is an unhealthy attitude to have, I think. Yes, it's true people are getting these things for free, but I don't think that's a good reason to abandon quality standards alltogether. I had to read several of these pages multiple times to parse the meaning due to the awkwardness in a few places. I think constructive criticism can push people to improve. Toxic positivity is also a thing too and if there's one thing I've learned it's that learning to give and take criticism is an important part of the creative process. If you get so bogged down in fear that someone will stop just because people weren't completely uncritical of their work nothing will ever improve.
