Am I missing something here? The MC was supposed to have that slicing power, yet now it's nowhere to be seen. He's like a helpless normal person, while that friend is using his telekinesis. What on Earth happened? What happened to the MC's power? We saw him trying it out on random items, but the moment he'd actually need it, the author nerfed him and turned him into a regular joe. What was even the point of it all?
Well, it's not the first time I've seen this kind of weirdness in manga, characters forgetting they have a particular power/skill that was introduced as a big deal before, but then in a crucial situation, it's suddenly not there at all because the author wanted to create some thrill. Unfortunately it doesn't feel like thrill when you know all the time a character could solve it all with that previously presented method. It just feels frustrating.
