I think this chapter actually soured the story for me.
Don't get me wrong: I don't normally take issue with "forgotten first meetings", but when the main premise requires two people having an arranged marriage AS their first meeting, the story beat of a "forgotten first meeting" overwrites that premise into "fated romance".
As long as this chapter doesn't get referenced in a main chapter, I might be able to mentally detach it without issue. But it won't be easy.
