Normally you'd just call her through the door to check if everything okay, not burst in like a barbarian.

Edit: Rereading it, it does seem like he first tried to call her through the door. Maybe he should have raised his voice, though, or knocked loudly.

I mean, if you get too comfy and doze off in the tub, or worse, faint from the heatstroke from staying too long, yeah, I'd imagine that could happen.
