I didn't notice her nails were shorten but after verifying the older chapters, they are. Might be what Egaki sensei intended because those long ass nails are awkward to me. A bit sad that she's really down on herself because being 21 & still in school (being in a university is an exception) would make you question your life choices. Thanks for the translations.

Good chapter! I was able to feel real sympathy for Komaru. Also, was this grab really only worth 4% (it was at 55% in chapter 14)?

If he had wrapped an arm around her waist, I bet it would have reached 69% :meguusmug:

⚠️ This post was made using MTL, so keep that in mind while reading. The purpose is to provide the MangaDex community with some insight into Japanese audience opinions—not to fish for internet points. So, please refrain from giving a 'like' or any other reaction. ⚠️

Here are some comments from the Japanese public on the Young Jump app:

It's still not too late to chase your dreams, so don't give up...

I understand both the feeling of wanting to be relied on and the feeling of not wanting to be a burden... I'm glad they could speak honestly...!

Even if you say she's still fundamentally gloomy, she hasn't even gone to cosmetic school yet, so cut her some slack (lol).
I think if she became a hairstylist with her cheerful personality from before she developed this one, she'd be really successful, so I hope she realizes that soon.

If he can throw away the career survey form, she should just pass it through another teacher. That way, she'll have a record of having handed it over, and the responsibility for any loss will fall on the person receiving it.

A teacher who crushes a student's dreams is not needed. No matter how old you are, having dreams and pursuing them is wonderful.

There are plenty of people who go to university just to pass the time because they haven't found their dreams or what they want to do... It's not uncommon for people to go to vocational school after they turn twenty. You can keep chasing your dreams no matter how old you are! I want to be the kind of parent who can say that to my child.

You're still young, aren't you?

nnIzCoz.png

I thought that both the older sister and the younger brother really understood each other, and that they truly are siblings.

Is it time for a counterattack...?

Hgnihsb.png

Higashoka is even more of a scumbag than I imagined.
Don't hold back, crush him.

pTKEIkn.png

Is he shifting to making the teacher understand...?

I hate hairstylists who don't care about the dark roots of the hair, lol.

It's great to have people who support your dreams.

Go for it!

Author! What are you having the current generation, who are chasing their dreams, say?
In reality, beautiful people are already targets for troublemakers, so they should be careful about wearing revealing clothes (though it's fine since it's a manga...).

0YVfX94.png

Throwing away the career survey form is already grounds for disciplinary action, but what kind of school is the older sister attending?

kJgDz8G.png

The older sister who knows all about 'you' lol.

pumrozv.png

The light in the younger brother's eyes.

Additionally, here are the current like counts of the last 4.5 chapters:

I keep thinking exactly this! I think it would actually be really sweet if they go clothes shopping together and he helps pick out new clothes for her that are more modest so she doesn't attract as much unwanted attention. Her current style goes with the "cheeky" version of her (though very much in a "manga" sense, as commented), but I think the "real" her being brought back out by "understanding" should come with an image change (I'm also just personally a fan of more modest attire).

For real.

That last one made me chuckle lol

Thank you for translating these. I wouldn't have known these were MTL'd but thank you for the disclaimer. I know you said:

But it was really cool to get a glimpse of how this story is viewed in the country of origin. I love how many positive and encouraging comments there were about not giving up and continuing to chase your dreams and such. It helps that the Japanese comments are more abundant too, so there are more perspectives, I guess.

Man now I'm worrying over making sure my kid's don't feel this way.

As an aside, there is one dream I'm against my kid's pursuing. My 8 year old wants to be a ballet dancer because pretty and cool, but I'm thinking damage to the feet, highly competitive environment, not many fall back options in case of injury or not making it at a professional level.
