I disagree, but I will say the series doesn’t deserve anything lower than a 6.
The one thing the series got going on for itself is the fact that the art is unique to this artist. Everything else is only acceptable if not subpar. The writing is the series’ weakest point, especially the characterization and the art is used as a crutch to make up for it than to carry the tone of the story itself.

So far the series is only slightly above mediocrity due to the art alone, but unless the storytelling gets better I don’t see it going any higher than a 7.0

Well, besides that one, there's also at least other two series following a similarly cursed pattern.
Like the one with this shady guy that adopts 3 slaves to raise them as members of his harem but actually his actions are the ones of a decent and caring guardian/parent and the girls grow to truly like him because of it... But the series actually has some porn stuff, in the form of a really cursed prologue and some more wholesome nsfw chapters later on when the girls are older and all horny.
And then, there's the Ragged elf and the Apothecary series. Where a guy helps to heal a battered elf slave... There's a "not-canon" (according author, but it really is) doujin called Elf's past about the awful shit the Elf suffered before the canon wholesome series started

You mean for now. Egaki said the same thing in the web version and admitted later that it actually was canon. As long as she doesn't insert suggestive scenes that complement each other like she did with the web series, then it's alright.

I still think it's incredibly stupid to make content about the main heroine of your own serialized work being fucked by a bunch of different guys, if she wants to do that type of stuff, it would've been better to just create an original character for that specific purpose, it may leave a bad taste in the mouth of a good portion of readers when they find out about that, but well, it does seem like she is not the type of person that can control her own fetishes so whatever.
