I think the idea is that her motivation for doing it is rooted on her feeling like a burden that MUST do something to support her family, rather than her genuinely wishing to work in such a place. Her actual dream is to become a hairdresser, but now feels like chasing it would make her even more of a burden.

It's no different from someone having to choose between chasing their passion or pursuing a carreer that is more stable/profitable. Though hairdresser isn't really that risky of a choice, it will just take her some time to start making money out of it.

Its also been heavily telegraphed she had jobs before and she ended up getting overworked at them.
