Ya'll was right: Nanjou-San is serialized by Gangan Online, a subsidiary of Square Enix. The company instituted an "ethics department" to filter out sexual content, and have used an AI censoring program that sucks at its job. Things like putting black bars over knees, or this travesty of a chapter with inconsistent censoring of a bikini.

They can’t hire some poor guy to do it manually? I can’t imagine it would take very long. This AI censoring doesn’t seem to be consistent nor accurate. The boxes are way too large, and it allowed some risqué scenes through. I don’t even mind censorship - although I would obviously prefer none at all - but censoring that is this bad is just distracting!
