Hes clearly getting himself more open to her and gradually seems to be changing. Even by saying "thank you" instead of "not worth it" is a big thing.
About Hanami, feels like is some sort of a childish game and curiosity so far. Tho is scary to think it could turn into something else if they meet.
At the same time it made me happy her saying "I love u" it is also a waste if hes not awake to reply with his own feelings. But shes also giving to much space and when she chooses to tease him like when watching the plums it spoil a moment where they could make things clearer.
