Akira's really a fool...She falls in love with a guy because she likes his solitude and closed off personality, but she also wants to be let in and be privy to his thoughts. You can't force an emotionally unavailable person to become conveniently available just for you.
The way she pampers him too. She isn't his equal nor does she demand he be. She's more like his mother or the owner of a pet than a girlfriend.
