@nfzeta again, what on earth and how on earth are you talking about this? using your own logic that I can only see, clearly based on feelings, you are making this so subjective and irrational because there's even proof that he is not traumatized based on :

1. He doesn't even shake, tremble, or piss himself at fear when he recall the memory of the demons surrounding him, instead he was more focusing on the sword, the light it emitted, and the number of demons that could go out to the world which makes him on guard until now, and as to why he doesn't remember, as far as the pattern goes it would be more like the side effects of grabbing that sword rather than his fear of demons because there's no indicator of signs & source of trauma that would indicated that it was because of the demons.

2. When he faced the demon, he doesn't even collapsed in fear instead he fights them head on as he has fully prepared mentally and physically for such moment all along previously in his training.

You assumed that it was his trauma that made him impulsive to be on guard, but not his past experiences as a human being which makes him learn to be more careful about things he doesn't know and remember as any healthy minded rational person would do. That is clearly where your errors and the source of your logic became obvious because you based in on your emotional assumption.

The only thing I see reckless at ch 1 page 15-18 , would be they underestimated the unknown which would be their future opponent which are demons and not pushing past their limits when they have time, peace & the technology to do it. Other wise humanity would not have fallen like in the state of the world he is in now, but that for another discussion as we still do not know clearly what's going on.

See this, you attempt to drop me into a category based on your emotional judgement, pretty much just because of our different subjective evaluations of a character. You're basically proving my previous point.

Okay now, this sounds a bit naive, do you really think that CEOs, doctors and lawyers aren't influenced, quite heavily by their emotions? Doctors are probably the most reasonable of the assumptions and that's mainly because they have practice schooling their emotions but just like everyone else, they aren't immune to them. Its just that their clients or the average person meeting them in a professional setting would rarely see their emotional side.

So he can just randomly shouting and acts friendly towards them when there's clearly a pattern of them not remembering him, of which any logical person would pick this clues up and comprehend that in this situation, it is far more important to be more calm to not freaks them out by asking or stating personal statements? The only thing I can see misplaced in my judgement, would be that I judged that I could understand your reasoning eventually. I cannot, since there are a lot of flaws in your way of thinking objectively about this matter as you even missed a lot of reasoning you didn't even even think about, but I've already did you the favor of explaining it to you with my each points.

At this point, I can only think of you using your assumptions to suits the facts, rather than using the facts to suit the assumption like me. Which is why I cannot understand and confused about your explanation and points because they are not based on the fact that the story has told us but from your own assumptions.

I still think the character development is a mess and the author's forced plot of drama is disgusting because it's plain mocking his/her audience's intelligence, but if you don't feel that way and it is suitable and enjoyable for you, then good for you. Although it is definitely not for me.

You're misunderstanding what trauma is, that whole shaking, cowering thing is the dramatised and selective version. Also I said it was basically a trauma, the point remains that he's an emotional person and his whole drive is based on an experience. Hence you shouldn't be surprised when he reacts to seeing someone who he loved who should be dead.
Also I never said it was an impulse, there is a difference between impulse and drive.

It was still an unnecessary risk that could have resulted in serious damage.
