How would that affect the manga, unless the anime is based on the manga adaptation, which is based on the light novel.
If that was the case, then perhaps the manga artist is helping with storyboarding or something and is too occupied to work on this, but that is only a guess.
Maybe the mangaka doesn't have the time to continue this.

I also thought it was going for an aesthetic choice at first, but seems like something must of happened. I don't mind it to much myself, but even the unfinished art was good for me. Curious if they will finish it later and post another raw.
