I am literally on my wits end here, I've been trying to find people to translate a manga, but no dice yet.

The manga in question is called Niehime to kenmono no ou/贄姫と獣の王
It was last translated by Moira group, but is on hiatus due to sickness I believe.
This sounds stupid, but my wife became a huge fan of this manga and so I am trying now to translate on my own. But sadly I found out I need someone to guide me to through the "how to"

I implore, if anyone can... maybe guide this humble man through the process?

Any links or words of wisdom will be highly sought after.

There is a good guide posted on mangadex not too long ago
https://mangadex.org/title/32328/ero-otoko-s-guide-to-translating-and-editing

There are also a lot in other scanlators' sites
https://fallensyndicate.wordpress.com/typesetting-tutorial/
http://prettyanonymo.us/index.php/scanlation-resources/anonblacks-typesetting-guide/
https://quicksandscans.wordpress.com/resources/
https://www.insidescanlation.com/etc/the-idiots-guide-to-editing-manga/guide/main

You can get even more guides if you google "manga scanlation guide" or "manga typesetting guide" or something

For the translation part, you can just learn how a Japanese sentence structure works and just use a dictionary for every vocab you don't know. After a while, you'll get the hang of it.
Or just take your time and learn the whole language, your choice.
For SFX you can use http://thejadednetwork.com/
