Recently I started working on a manga reading website, basically for my upcoming translation group.

On it I added a features called click on ads to read. This work like if someone click on a link they can read everything without watching another ads for next 1 hours.

I know how we all manga reader hate popup ads. Which is more miserably for mobile users. So I just made my website you just click on link and go back after 1 second and you don't have to watch any ads for a hours.

As for pay to read features, who in the hell like this feature and pay those scanilation team.

Sorry for make the post this long. I hope you guys will give me your options and suggest some features if you like to ☺️

Admins and Moderators, please tell me this feature ban my group?

I understand what you’re trying to do, and compared to pop up ads, your system is definitely less annoying, especially for mobile users. Giving people an hour of ad-free reading after one click is a fair trade and shows you’re thinking about user experience.

That said, forcing users to click ads is still going to turn some people away, no matter how clean the system is. A lot of readers are already frustrated with ads in general, so even a “click to read” requirement can feel manipulative to some.

I also don’t agree with dismissing pay-to-read entirely. Not everyone likes it, but some readers are willing to support scanlation or translation groups if the quality is good and the pricing is fair. Having multiple options is usually better than relying on just one method.

Overall, the idea isn’t bad, and it’s better than intrusive ads, but it would benefit from more transparency and optional support methods so users don’t feel forced.
