I get the feeling the artist had to look at some rough pictures for research when drawing those malnutritioned folks. There's just something about the way skin hangs on bone that is very recognizable. Kudos to the artist.

I must admit this isn't half bad, he's OP (i mean he already has more MP and can heal more then a dedicated priestess) but not god level OP. Andthe "romance" is progressive, not something like, you healed more people then me let me suck your dick now

Like hell poverty cannot be fixed with cheat magic. Just go heal the rich ones for hefty sums, then distribute it to the slums. Or craft any number of heinous schemes around magic to get into the means.

@Zael: that's not cheat magic fixing poverty. That's intelligence and resourcefulness being applied to fix the root of the problem that is poverty. The point is that his overpowered magic cannot directly fix the problem. Hell, even if he could somehow conjure infinite amounts of gold to give to the poor, he'd just wreck the economy by crashing the value of gold.

@MarqFJA87 - Fair point I guess, unless you go and wreck the economy down to the fundamentals - so that the economy is actually based off of the (freely distributed - or perhaps controlled, so that everybody gets precisely as much as they need and not more) imbued magic itself. (Like manawells or the likes, if he's able to create them - if not, then that's just not enough magic.) One could also argue that being able to use magic in itself requires cleverness, and so that would be core component of it. (Versus magic source being used.)

He could actually help them more than he did by hunting low level monsters that are edible and having the church distribute it to the poor.
I don't remember what novel it was but I read one where the MC actually constructed a system so that new adventurers HAD to hunt down low level monsters. And then all of those ended up being used as food by the poor.

oh look at all those pigs (orcs)! Free food! Anyway, this is better than I thought. Not many isekais deal with the plight of the poor like this one.

@Serkket

Still doesn't solve the root problem.

What if he dies by the monsters somehow? The poor then still starve. What if he overhunts the low lvl monsters? Will something that depend on them for food move onto humans instead? What about other adventurers who can only lvl up by taking the low lvl quests and aren't ready for the higher ones yet?

What if the poor come to depend on the hero for food? Does he then take the burden of feeding the poor for the rest of his life in that world? What about the poor elsewhere? What makes the poor in this city more deserving of his help than the poor somewhere else? What if the poor from other places migrate to this city because of what he's doing? How will the city handle the strain? And for that matter, how many will die on the roads for the promise of free food?

Poverty is quite difficult to solve, without understanding the underlying reasons. Take the US Rust Belt for instance and look into the underlying causes.

It would be cool, if he invests all his points into healing/ailment skills and travels the world aiming to be its greatest healer and life-saver.
