I was also thinking that she was pretty nonchalant for a wife who left her husband with a potential rival of hers.
Does she trust the receptionist? Theo? Both? Or does she just trust that they are not proactive enough for anything to happen?

(Also, I agree that the thugs are stupid. Still, you shouldn't be even a half-skilled adventurer without a minimal sense of danger. Those without it tend to die quickly. "Goblins are weak, let's just charge at them without a plan" kind of death.)
