aside from the mind reading thing, I don't think they need to compare the rooms at all, one person is the one you were originally gonna stay with and harbors no ulterior motives, while the other one is lusting after you. Don't encourage the one trying to get in-between your relationship on any level. Also, didn't Theo say he didn't want others to see your.. demon-parts? You just casually revealed them without even asking him. For shame Helvi, stripping in front of random people. lol

I mean, I wouldn't call it inconsequential. It's not malicious, obviously, but his mind has no privacy and he's going to realize that she's had access AND had been having secret conversations with the others right in front of him the entire time. Sure, nothing bad came out of any of this, but it's still a matter of trust. It may just be me, as I'm just one who doesn't like lying, especially from the people closest to you.

I do agree that "in general" it's consequential as you said. But the whole spiel about realizing her knowing his thoughts and having secret conversations right in front of him is... well, Theo just doesn't think like that. At best he will be embarrassed about all the stuff he remembers thinking about being known to her, but that'll be the end of that. I'll be surprised if the revelation and acceptance of it is more than 2 pages

Oh, no, I know it's going to amount to nothing because this isn't the kind of series that would actually focus on the consequences of such a thing, just like most series. I'm just stating it for what it is in general. From an outside perspective, realistically, it's a bit sad and painful, even if none of the characters will ever think of it that way.

I don’t know about you, but being able to read my mind and not telling me would be such a betrayal of trust.

And it’s not even a secret, only Theo is in the dark. Everyone else close to them knows. It’s something that could ruin everything.

Like finding out someone you love bugged your phone or PC, and listens to you all day, it would change everything.
