So is she saying "shishou" for "master"? Maybe "sensei"? Or "aruji"?

I couldn't find the raw for chapter 3 either but the last panel of chapter 2 uses "shisou" in the overlay text.

Most likely 師匠 as in a disciple master relationship whilst 先生 translates more to a teacher student relationship but I heavily doubt a modern high school girl would be saying あるじ

Also Shishou is right there in the title

and Aruji has a different "Master" connotation than the one currently being discussed

For y'all that are wondering, she says 師匠 (Shishou), which is best translated to Master.

Obviously, Master has a 'higher' connotation than teacher. I think someone said they said they would prefer her call him (Teach), but I don't think that properly conveys the respect and esteem she has for him.

its funny to see people mald over the tax on crystals when commission checks are taxed about that much in the real world. In the US, you pay taxes on bonuses and prize winnings which is usually about 24%, plus they take out medical and retirement which is another ~16% (of which your employer pays half of that, secretly). And that's in a country which has a 'relatively low' tax rate, other countries that actually provide benefits like healthcare to their citizens pay more than that (whether that's worth it or not is outside the scope of this post).
at the end of the day the only thing that matters is the post-tax cut you get to take home, which we don't know yet due to her absorbing all the crystals to level up. If you get 1,000,000 dollars with a 90% tax rate or 100,000 dollars with a 0% tax rate then it doesn't really matter which one applies, which is the point the mc is making in the comic.

In Germany, as a Single without Kids you can kiss half of your Income goodbye by the moment you get your Paycheck.
Then you get taxes on Food, Property and almost anything which involves Money.

You even pay 3x for your Retirement Money.. First on your Paycheck, then when you get your Retirement Money and then the Taxes you get when you want to buy something. Pretty much modern Robbery... just without the Killing and Forests.

Hey guys, Sora here... philiascan(paywall group) tried to get us to drop this series cause they can't upload on MD(they're banned) and want people go visit their site instead...then he threatened to snipe all our series if I don't drop...even tried to bribe me into coming under their group as an affiliate saying 'anything I make he'll get 50% and I can get a pc of $1300 easily' cause I work on phone and think I'll take the bait...but I refused him, haha I'll rather wait for the little support I get and when the goal is reached...I'll get the pc myself...it was hectic that day...looking down on me like that cause of a phone and small group, anyways we won't be dropping this series, and I'd like to see them snipe!

Edit: I've read some of the comments, ranting and complaining (even arguing) about tax, equipment, and magic stone. Essentially the logic of this manga.

Here's some advice as a long time trash-sekai reader, you gotta turned off your brain or slide your comprehension a little bit lower to enjoy them. I've been there before, Some of them made me sleepless, questioning the logic behind their decisions on certain things (yes, including the slavery trope).

At this point I'm all but suspecting mdex competitors banded up to pay someone "more official" to reach out to Japanese conglomerates to target mdex with a copyright wave.

I know, I know, conspiracy theories and shit, and "never attribute to malice what can easily be explained by stupidity", but we're WAY past stupidity at this point. The hate for mdex / namicomi is unreal.

It's a weird one this... First off, it always strikes me as weird that he is always wearing a business suit. Never casual or sports wear, always a wage slave business suit... Then the idea of her being an absolute noob in a school uniform... Surely if she wanted to be an adventurer, she would own a weapon and trained with it before registering and setting foot in a dungeon. It seems very air-headed to just turn up without a clue. It's like, I'm going to be an Amazon delivery driver... Can you drive a car... no...why? This is a bit of a dangerous job to just be winging it...

Good luck on getting a laptop. Might wanna stalk local second hand sites for a good one. Just look out for specs and read beforehand if it will support windows 11 if you're not willing to go custom win 11 or linux. Might wanna look into possible bundles of extra stuff like mouse or something else. Only thing you may not get with it if seller doesn't say beforehand is warranty but if you take good care of it and use backpack or case for laptops (5-20€ for a good used one where I'm from) then no worries.

Also, a 45% might be very reasonable depending on how the rest is organised. For example, if adventurers are only taxed on crystals and nothing else, and if part of that 45% is set apart for social contribution, and many other things ... Though I doubt the author put much thought on that subject.

45% is absolutely highway robbery. And they even tax stones you consume. Hell how would they even KNOW you used those stones immediately.
