I'm not even going to get into the issue of whether the main heroine and hero will become a couple or not. I've seen worse, but I can understand people disliking it, and honestly it still looks like if it happens it'll be quite a while longer.

The one thing I want more of is Kaori. The story seems to be doing something that seems a little rare: it's making her sound like she didn't simply see Reito as a tool to get money from. She's still clearly very shallow and was far too easily swayed by claims of stability and wealth. But when she learned that the "cheap" place he always took her to was actually $500 minimum, her thought wasn't "maybe I made a mistake" or "maybe he was better than I thought" but "maybe I was cruel to say that to him". It's not a huge difference, but it is a difference. It suggests that rather than simply regretting dumping a guy who's clearly wealthy, she instead regrets insulting him for being cheap when he was working so hard for her. She's still got a long way to go, and it's questionable whether she'll make that journey, but I could see her actually giving a sincere apology. And please don't misunderstand, I'm not saying that I think they could or should get back together. For something like that to happen I'd expect at least as much time as anyone here would want before Reito and Karen get together, since she too clearly needs to grow up and demonstrate how she's changed. What I want isn't for her to date him again, but for her to express remorse and contrition and then move on to live the life she made for herself. Preferably without that Katsuki bastard, who clearly doesn't show any signs of that sort of regret or uncertainty. But that's just me and my love of contrition. I'm fine with bad people suffering for their mistakes, but I'd much rather them seek or welcome such suffering as payment for their actions.

Getting angry with her parents just because they sold her into criminality and sexual exploitation - she's such a KAREN!

1.) I don’t think any of their ages are listed, but even if they were, 18 & 24 is still weird.
2.) What is with y’all niggas calling me a PDF 😭 The logic doesn’t even make sense, how would seeing an 18 year old as a kid (which I never said, it was the age gap that was the issue) make me a pdf 😭? y’all be projecting like crazy ngl.
2.) 6 year age gap isn’t that big when they’re both adults in the same stage of life. 24 and 18 is an adult either working full time, or nearing the end of college. 18 is still a highschooler, or a freshman in college at best. 24 and 18 isn’t the same as 30 and 36.
3.) Yes they’re both young but that doesn’t mean that it’s okay. By this exact logic, since 18 and 12 are still “kids” scientifically, it’s okay? The logic just doesn’t follow. And the next sentence you literally contradicted yourself by saying mental development ends at 25 or 26. Being 1 or 2 years away from completely mentally developed is not even close to being a kid.

And to add a few points:
1.) The story very much suggests the fmc being at most 18. And that’s only because it’s stated that her parents abandoned her. The clothes she’s wearing and her speech makes her seem 16-18. The MMC being 24 doesn’t sound very plausible given he was preparing to retire with his financee after marrying. Realistically, this places him in late 20s or early 30s

2.) Even if their ages are as you listed, the MMC calls her a kid multiple times. So in his eyes, she shouldn’t even be considered a romantic or sexual interest. The story would have to shift from him seeing her as a kid to someone like that, which is weird!!
Both characters clearly state their ages in the manga, so there’s no need to argue this point. Kid is also a term thrown around all the time, even the MC is referred to as a kid by his friends. And you can’t be serious comparing someone whois 18 vs 12. Eighteen by law is considered an adult everywhere, there shouldn’t even be a argument here. You might find it creepy however in most cases you’d find it difficult discerning who was what age in the relationship.

So you misunderstood the point of my argument (the 18 and 12 one), and then gave a flimsy last sentence that has no real weight behind it. What was the point in even commenting atp
