Ok. Her boyfriend didn't blacklist him, only her friend did but that's beside the point as her boyfriend ONLY got demoted despite his actions (firing him) being much more devastating. The gf cheated on him and publically humiliated him sure, but I do not think that someone else fucking with her job is a satisfactory conclusion to that as (besides the owner knowing him) the MC had no hand in the action nor was there any build up to the result.


First off, she was a bystander to her boyfriend's action of firing the MC. She did not play an active hand in either his firing nor his blacklisting. So her cold attitude towards the whole incident is cold but it is not unemployment worthy.

Secondly, she does not value adventurers but that isn't inherently evil as it is the same as a family member saying that electricians aren't valueable and that he should be a lawyer instead. Sure she's a bitch about it but again I don't find it satisfying when a THIRD PARTY enacts "revenge" for the MC. Especially over the gf just being a gold-digger.

I am not upset because a woman is sad. I am upset because someone got disproportionatly punished for the actions they took. I would be happy with this result if she was playing an ACTIVE role (telling the bf to fire him) in him losing his job rather than her just being an ignorant ride-along about everything. The guy who came up with the idea AND executed it only got demoted. Hell, I would even be happy if it was the MC himself who got her fired because at least then he could be characterised as a bit petty and it would give him more depth.

Because she was CONVINCED it showed Reito WHY he was unworthy and needed to "make something of himself

And she PREVIOUSLY loved adventurers! It's why she approached Reito during their school days in the first place! She only started "disliking" because of the stupid consesnus going around that Adventurers were lowly people (like with the Receptionist who was also sweeped up in that) but she KNEW Reito, or SHOULD know him as we learn she BARELY got to know HIM at ALL

As said, if I got aggressive, I apologize abit as I saw red whenver I see any form of SUPPORT to cheaters and their excuses. But I get your point! While yeah Reito COULD have told her his true rank and such! The fact she was CHEATING on him with an EMPLOYEE of the CLERICAL side, and it's clear the Receptionist was in on it and knw . She could have asked, but she didn't and then TAPPED OUT of the releationship and didn't care. She had ALTERNATIVE means to break up with him without the cheating, the problem ISN'T breaking up with him (That it's own mess on how she did it as she was MALICIOUSLY cruel on purpose with the break up like he did her a WRONG she never ONCE told him about, hence why it caught him off guard! She marries him before the transfer, it's seen for the RUSHING IN that it is, and her parents are in disagreement, especially since she suddenly DATED the scumbag for not that long! It shows that she and scum have FLOWERS. But in a way it DOES illustrate her character growth LATER! which I liked where there IS recognition of her wrong, but because she's not TRULY cornered, she doubles down and makes excuses!

He loses his job, and ends up homeless and disowned, Divorced too for the scummy shit he does to Ex as well! Namely he CHEATS ON HER! And with a Married woman who's husband is HIS BOSS at that branch! So again he is doing the SAME SHIT that got him in trouble! But that Boss ISN'T as merciful as Reito was! Hell his AP was a BITCH who TARGETED full of themselves married men at their lowest to play with them, let them RUIN their lives and marriage, then dump them and leave her HUSBAND to deal with them! There is no LOVE, but it will look HUMILATING for him business wise if he does nothing, and the moron WAS WARNED to keep his head down by a SENIOR at the branch early on and his past action would be FORGOTTEN and he could get transferred out! Reito's mercy was WASTED on him! Hence he WOULD have gotten off if he REPENTED and changed, but he's the only one who showed NO remorse and because he didn't he never saw what he did as wrong, only he picked the WRONG fight, and then does it again!

He is fired, loses Ex after what he did before that, and his family disowns him as being a REVEALED cheater THIS TIME FOR SURE because Reito never made a fuss makes him a disgrace, he ends up homeless, a drunk AND blaming Adventurers and REITO for his fall, when as stated, Reito GAVE HIM MERCY and it was HIS OWN DAMN FAULT he lost everything! Plus Adventurers had NOTHING to do with his ruin, the Co-worker and her husband were CLERICAL STAFF of the Guild, so effectively it was those who are the same as him who brought his ruin, but it shows he didn't learn a DAMN THING and so is paying for it!

The story so far wants to treat her as an ignorant fool who got what she deserved but it isn't doing a good job at it as the punishment is unrelated to the crime.

Sorry if I come as aggressive, but as someone SURROUNDED by self-absorbed cheaters (and being close to those they HURT and refuse to accept ANY responsibility for their actions, in my case, my mother and my POS Sperm Donor/Said cheaters first girlfriend who was like an AUNT to me) I take a DIM view on giving cheaters ANY excuses (and that also includes "sympathic cheating" I'm less hard core on that one, but still look down on it because I follow the creed as a black man of "FUCKING LEAVE THEN, don't cheat, act sneaky JUST LEAVE!") and that part about "partial blame" hit a "berserk button" of mine, hence my aggressive reply above (I grew up HEARING attempts to BLAME the cheated on SOME HOW for what happened or lead up to what happened! Again, "I never LIKE giving cheaters ANY excuses for their actions of ANY KIND!) He never properly looked at Kaori and communicated to her about what he was doing nor made her aware of his actual position as an Adventurer. Kaori taking things for granted never bothered to ask and stayed completely ignorant without addressing her concerns regarding him, his job, and her own situation. She only realized things after it was already too late and it didn't even come from Reito himself but what was happening around her to make her realize things. Their relationship was never going to last in the long term with how they were going about things.

It's hard for ME specific to feel sorry for the unjust because of what happened to Reito, and note Reito is UNAWARE of this, meaning it was done WITHOUT his blessing or permission! But you know how it goes, you should LESS fear retalation from those you wrong and MORE from thos CONNECTED to those you wronged more LOL

But to be serious! I would be AGAINST the firing, and we know Reito would as well. But then again she was HIRED because of her connecton to Reito and as a favor. Pretty much. Kaori is very ignorant of the world and in how it works. Reito didn't help her become aware of the world either, especially when he knew how important he was to the world as one of its top adventurers. True that, and sorry abit for the aggression! (Cheaters and anything that sounds like support of them even IN fiction is a berserk button for me, so I saw red and may have been abit of a DICK then I SHOULD have been, for that I apologize) and you are right, I saw it too! They were DOOMED because Kaori was the cause of it! She never bothered to say ANYTHING, expected him to do ALL the hard work, cheated on him instead of breaking up!
