It's actually a crime to abandon parents and other blood relatives (this is why you see uncles/aunts in manga take in kids even though they hate them and want nothing to do with them; the family is legally obligated, and it is usually pushed onto the one that the rest of the family can pressure). Japanese law does not allow the relationship between biological parents and biological children to be severed.I really rather dislike that he just threw money at the problem instead of asserting that Karen wasn't responsible for her parent's debts. I also really dislike that he didn't confirm anything about the payment so if they really wanted to (as they implied) they can just claim the debt still hadn't been paid as no papers were signed at the time of payment.
What loving parents indeed 😊yeah, lets go find our beloved daughter whom we abandoned and ask her to come with us back, BUT WAIT! that's not all, let's also ask her to sell her body to pay off our debts and be hapily reunited on the spot, thats definitely the most heartwarming reunion ever!!!![]()
Yeah they are messed up and it's definitely doesn't seem like the last time we will see them those kind of pests always come back I'm not sure how I feel about the MC paying for that I would have just ignored it and let the parents handle their own problem while protecting the girlyeah, lets go find our beloved daughter whom we abandoned and ask her to come with us back, BUT WAIT! that's not all, let's also ask her to sell her body to pay off our debts and be hapily reunited on the spot, thats definitely the most heartwarming reunion ever!!!![]()
Yeah your typical MC who throws a lot of money problem to show off and get what they want but that wasn't even a problem that either him or her should have had to deal with I would have just let the parents face what was coming to them while protecting the girlMoney, what can't it solve?
Glad have someone who has the same view on me on this it's typical of MCs who have built up a lot of money to show off more than necessary with giving out money even if it's more than the required makes them look like a big man and isn't he great. This debt wasn't the daughter's responsibility though it was the parents why not just sell them into slavery and be done with itI really rather dislike that he just threw money at the problem instead of asserting that Karen wasn't responsible for her parent's debts. Yeah, the correct answer was, "I'll loan you the money to pay them off on the condition you leave your daughter alone forever. If you don't accept my terms, then we're talking to the police about your crime of human trafficking."Paying off the debt is so beyond stupid, I understand that it's meant to be a flex for the MC but it just lets the parents off consequence free.
To be devil's advocate for the naive MC, he is a walking bank account that still has enough resources to be considered part of Japan's GDP. Him spending money is the easiest method of addressing the problem and he did it in public. If they really wanted to push the issue against him specifically, he has connections and tons of money to spare, so him pissing away a bit of it is no skin off his back.Instantly lost respect for the MC.
Why the actual fuck would he give them money?
From what I gatherI really rather dislike that he just threw money at the problem instead of asserting that Karen wasn't responsible for her parent's debts. I also really dislike that he didn't confirm anything about the payment so if they really wanted to (as they implied) they can just claim the debt still hadn't been paid as no papers were signed at the time of payment.
