I remember this LN, it was alright. The translation was extremely rough so I stop bothering with it in the end.

who the hell is this suspicious shadow figure. no one gives something like this out for free. unless it saw the future of where the savior succeeded and sought to use him to undermine humanity.

Wha-what? Did anyone else get nothing from that chapter? I only read this because the summary confused me and made me think “okay, what?”. So I thought “Okay. I’ll just read the first chapter, figure out what this is about, and see if I want to continue it”, but nope. Still super confused. All I got is the MC just took a deal by a literal shadowman (not exactly a pro gamer move) and got a rewind. Aside from that super generic premise; I’m just lost. What’s the setting? Who are thèse heroes and why are all these so called “heroes” that save lives always just dicks (seriously these guys are supposedly the ONLY heroes; no one else can stop them. If they want to be dicks why not just go full disney villain?) Why is the MC with them? Why is the MC STILL with them after being treated like dirt (how is the mc still alive). I just wanted to understand what the freak is going on with the summary and I’m even more confused now.

Apparently shadow figure is actually a good god (God B). Said god was once partners with another god (God A), but A betrayed B and framed them as an evil god. A is now the god of the world's main religion, although pockets of B's worshippers remain (but branded heretics by A's followers). B thought MC could be used against A, so they sent MC back in time.

@TNT261
Iirc most of these "heroes" also have massive emotional baggage that causes them to act like dicks, esp. to those they deem unworthy. MC also has a big servility issue, in that he thinks he's shit (being a poor slumdweller) and acts in consequence. But as much as he hates them, he also respects and wants to be their equal. And that's where the 2nd life redo comes in; his interactions and resolve indirectly help bring them around before they get emotionally broken.

Its the cliche of "im a useless baggage in the hero party"

Haysss
1.) If you don't have the ability to go side by side with them, just simply leave. Stop being a burden.
2.) if you are being treated like shit even though you have a proper role, then leave. Its their loss if you have a unique ability but if you dont, they can simply find a replacement and function like normal. They hate you and you don't want to abused so going on a separate ways solves both issue
3.) staying because of "honor" and "fame"? Stop being a leach and leave.
4.) because you knew someone in the party? Then both of you should leave or simply leave alone while saying a proper goodbye to your friend.

But nope, some people really wanted to purposely become a victim so they can justify their hatred to someone.. Pathetic..

LMAO I didn't think they were this harsh in the WN! What the actual fuck 😅😅😅😅 Granted, I'm just about to start Volume 2, but Vol. 1 made it sound like he went on patrols on his own to avoid the girlish giggling of the party.
