@KeiN9 @HDMI1 Yeah, they’ve said multiple times in the comments and in one of the chapters IIRC that it’s not necessarily in chronological order. And, I mean, he’s literally in elementary school. I think it’s okay for him to be embarrassed every now and then. And how is it “fake embarrassment” if he’s actually embarrassed. That doesn’t really make any sense.

Good luck trying to tell middle and high schoolers they should always go straight home and never visit a shop or other places on the way. You should never have rules that won't be obeyed because it lessens the general trust and faith in rules, making it more likely even meaningful ones will get ignored.

@Kaarme In my case, in high school I had to ride a bus from the school for at least half an hour just to get dropped off about two miles from my house. You can bet your ass I stopped at the shop I was dropped off in front of for snacks or drinks. If there had been rules against it, oh well. Probably about a half an hour away from any of the teachers by then.
