Unfortunately I'm pretty sure Mangaupdates tag this series as rushed ending/ axed, so I guess Japanese readers didn't like where it went, I think all works from this mangaka suffer that

I can see where the story could have lasted longer, but I feel its like The World God Only Knows where you're basically got one last arc and they aren't completely rushed in finishing that portion.

Yeah, it gives impression it'll be more more unsatisfying or kinda ok ending than  really rushed like iit generally is, still pretty disappointing.
