It's probably more along the lines of her wanting the experience of working up through the ranks, rather than cutting straight to the finish. One would assume that the guild wouldn't really let an S-rank take F-rank quests, and would instead insist on sending them out on the most dangerous quests possible. It was like someone who hadn't even learned to drive yet getting dropped in a rally car and just barely managing to survive to the end of the race. Now all anyone wants them to do is run rallies, but they still just want to get their driver's license.
