What exactly is stopping them if it's not immortality? Or is it because she was only born recently that she'll get maybe 70 years of human time. Then she has to hide due to immortality?

Edit: it keeps getting weirder the more i think about it. If she wanted to be normal, but had the issues of immortality. Those being seeing your friends and loved ones age and die before you, would she not isolate herself? Or keep everyone at arms length like our Male Mc used to?
I can't help but think the issue is something else.
Anyways if suddenly the next chapter has her go "Huh? Where'd you hear that?" Then I'm just gonna lie down for a while.
