I was going to say that. When I was living in Japan recently my rent was 150,000¥ for a 3 bedroom townhouse kinda on the outskirts of a city but an approximately 10 minute drive from work. Now I have a 3 bedroom townhouse again (was somehow cheaper then the 2 bedroom in the community when I moved in) that jumped up to $2900 during my lease renewal that is a 30 minute drive to work without traffic. I truly miss how much cheaper everything was in Japan, the only thing I remember being more expensive than here was pizza for some reason.
