I already expected this.
Instead, me hating the mc, I just sighed and did a bit of facepalm.
While at the same time. I get the comments hate coming from. They hate the "Let's stop talking, oh wait it's my fault" trope, especially in romantic high school settings.
Keep this in mind. "High school" so it is bound to have A MASSIVE MASSIVE headache of misunderstanding, little to no communication from both parties.
I get the mc is coming from and I admit it was FKING STUPID on his part. At the same time we are all stupid and it is 50-50
The problem is that the other member of the idol, which is also a fellow high schooler remind you, literally saw something's
very wrong with the lead female, and she's really worried about her well being.
Meanwhile, the MC just completely ignores her, doesn't give a damn about her condition, and instead doubling down on his dumb decision, thinking that "it's the best for both of us".
Do remind that the MC KNOWS that he's the one who has been supporting her this whole time through the game, which was mentioned by the
very same girl that tells him his dumbshits in the newest chapter, yet he somehow forgets about it, and goes straight into stupidville by ignoring her + giving her the cold shoulder treatment.
If he really cares about her, then he should've been still supporting her inside the game, in which both of them are married, and they can talk freely without any worries of getting caught by others, or someone eavesdropping their conversations.
So nope, the whole MC's actions in chapter 5 is very
very questionable, and absolutely doesn't make any sense, which is the main reason on why so many users were mad at him and the author/mangaka, since this kind of conflict is not needed, and it serves no purpose at all to the story...
