@Midoriha Unfortunately, that aura does exist. It's called the unapproachable aura and it's very likely that someone will get it if they, say; take their work too seriously, doesn't talk that much, eat a big fuckin Onigiri everyday. It's a lot less common on western countries but it does happen.
Also, Current chapter shows it is sakura season(notice a few sakura shots here and there). Nenechi was going to college at the exact same day Aoba entered Eagle Jump(ch51.13), and Aoba had her first day in Eagle Jump at sakura season. Since all of the millenials are 20 by this point (and Aoba Joined at 18), this meant that it has been exactly 2 years since Aoba joined Eagle Jump and also 2 years since Nenechi joined college (Nenechi is older than Aoba). Assuming nenechi takes a 2 year degree, yeah, she could've graduated now assuming she didn't skip any classes. We could also assume it's June now (common college graduation month) although Sakura blooming season are only about a week so it's unlikely (Unless global warming effect sakura season or something).

Edit: While writing this, I realize Nenechi (May5th) is actually almost a year older than Aoba(Feb2nd), which mean Nenechi is 21 next month

Is someone really asking why I think it's irresponsible for a company to be putting a student intern into a primary leadership role on a major project?

Let's just hope all that time Momiji had to take off for school responsibilities (and, apparently, for simply not liking chocolate) doesn't come back to hurt them!

And I nitpick the timeline because up until now it's been pretty precise. You could map out all the chapters on a calendar and everything fits and makes sense. And the school Nene was going to should NOT be a two year college.
I seem to remember there even being a line about her being unable to decide on a major and taking mostly general education courses during her first year, but I can't find where it was.

@mogu i'm gonna nitpick but iirc this game is not a major project.It's a minor projectmade in between two big releases.

It's a smaller project than normal, sure, but it's still nearly a year worth of company resources.

I do have to admit the series has pretty much run it's course by this point , as much as I still enjoy the manga and will keep reading it to the end. Everything important was said and done by the point where the anime ended . We're just sorta hanging around the characters now, not headed anywhere in particular.

And once again Momo gets one of those scenes with Aoba, that should have been with Hifumi. And the worst part is that this is the only reason Aoba was in the chapter.

Has it been a year already for this project? I recall it only being a few months tops. Besides, Eagle Jump is much more closer to an indie company than a AAA company anyway so their work hierarchy aren't that strict. On that note, this is the same company that put an introvert with communication issue in charge of management, safe to say Junior on lead is not that far off for this company. In fact, didn't they put kou in charge back in fairies 1 back when she only had a couple years of experience AND communication issues?

Also I've checked all the chapters for vol 5 extra and there doesn't seem to be any mention on her specifically going for a general degree. She did say that she'll enter whatever she can get into (ch51.6 P1) and that she goes to Kirara on the basis that it's close and had a high employment rate (ch51.9 P3). Nowhere is it specifically stated that she wanted to go to a general degree (or any degree for that matter). Unless of course, Doki lost some Information in Translation. Although all of this just made me wonder what classify as a 'general degree'?

They started the new project before the new year, and it is now April, so it's already been four months and they've barely even got started.

It will have been the better part of a year by the time the game is finished (there aren't a lot of specific reference points for time, but appears to be about 8-10 months.)

Kou was put in a lead position during her first year. And failed so hard she had to be replaced. But at least she was an actual employee at the time.

I feel like the Nene line I'm trying to remember was from the anime, and I can't be bothered to go check through that at the moment. I don't know what you're on about a general degree, though. I said that I seem to remember at some point she said she was taking general education courses since she hadn't decided on a major yet.

@Midoriha
"the 'We wanted to get along with you but you were too beautiful and competent and there was this aura about you so we couldn't approach you' cliche is utter trash."

This actually happens a lot even in real life, so I don't find it neither weird nor cliche that it is a common theme featured in anime and manga. Like Harambe said, if you take your work very seriously, and don't talk that much, it may very well happen to you, and if you're talented and beautiful/handsome on top of that, then yeah, it is quite likely to happen. It can be either positive or negative as well. People may dislike you for these things and avoid you because of that, or they may admire you for it, and avoid you because you're just too different from them/too far ahead of them. It depends on the people involved.

@Harambe
"although Sakura blooming season are only about a week "
I am by no means an expert, and don't know what it's like normally, but it was more like two weeks this year in Tokyo at least (I currently live in Tokyo). Also, there are different types of Sakura trees as well, with some blooming later than others.

Nenecchi might have decided to get an associate degree and learn the rest through work at Eagle Jump i guess. Definitely possible given the timeline although I feel like it wasn't mentioned. If she took gen ed classes her first year, and F3 wrapped up around the new year, she could have easily taken enough credits to get an associates the second year.

I just realized I was conflating the production of Fairies 1 and Fairies 2. On the single statement I didn't bother double-checking before writing. But regardless, the distinction between a student intern and a full-time employee is still pretty large.

Also, I don't know what you are all on about with the cherry blossoms. The exact day of the last page of the chapter is April 1, also the exact day of the year that chapter 1 took place on. And the day chapter 43 took place on. It's an important day because it is when most Japanese companies start their fiscal year, and so also when new employees start.

This is a game company where being a cute girl is a necessary qualification. Shizuku's staffing decisions are not going to make sense.

So, speaking of manga adaptations of this company's games: Peco as a spin off when? I need it. I also still want to play it too but, trying to be realistic here.
