So Iura's death is caused by Natuski pushing him to break into the safety barrier and got too close to the Stone Coffin where they dumped the virus infected corpses, just to say goodbye to his mum? this felt so ill considered.
Also, wonder if cremation would be effective to stop virus spread after the victims' death. or would the virus survive and propagate with the ashes.

lmao guess it should've been obvious with how obnoxious and absolutely unlikeable the author made him but just killing him off like this is cold. And she kinda did this to him so more drama.. woohoo?

rly don't know what to think about the author going THIS far just to make both MCs go even. Her getting her own soulmate husband to flirt with was kinda enough already imo. This feels quite forced.

I just hope MC isn’t going to sneak out to meet Natsuki, stumble upon a barely alive Iura, and then proceed to save him prolonging this needless drama even more.

Or worse, the guy is actually alive, somehow meets Natsuki, and they escape the facility together.

Just let the guy go, he did not feel like a valuable addition anyway, imo

I like Iura so I'm super biased but maybe the one that declared that there is no way to save him did it intentionally so that an alive person with the deadly virus can get out from the facility or something. It's been so long I cant even remember if the virus can spread from a corpse to living humans or not.
I'm annoyed that the author wrote Iura crossing the wall to the deadly virus land just to say goodbye to his dead mother tho.

I'm shook by the sheer level of stupidity displayed and baffled by the author's intention.

How can she be so stupid to go into an infection site only to have a vaguely cathartic moment with a corpse? It was so pointless. She got this new kid killed, whose character was literally thrown away like trash once he filled his purpose. Why make the FMC so antipathetic?

What's the takeaway from this? Was that punishment for 'infidelity'? She basically emulated with another guy what worked with the MC, juvenile risk-taking and rule-breaking. Only when it works, it's cute and cool and very cinematic ; when it doesn't and shit gets real, we get this, cold reality and the consequences of being a dumb teenager made painfully clear.

I'm really curious how she's going to react learning she got him killed. But again, what's the point of this colossal distraction when they all have bigger problems and plenty of legitimate enemies so there's no need to turn yourself into your worst one.

Is this going to turn into a hardcore government employee? 'They were clearly right to be this extreme about infection containment'? To set up a conflict with her love interest who'll go deeper into the revolutionary route?

If so, why not. But again, it's painful to have to witness character not using their brain and any nuance. The problem with the government is that they go so far it's counter-productive, they're birthing their own future terrorists and maintaining civil unrest when it would be much easier handling a pandemic when don't keep people in the dark and only show them the fascist boot.

He still appear to be in perfect health in chpt 55 interacting with the orphanage kids, close contact with flirting girl in school, also out-performing his dance group buddies without breaking a sweat. i can't find any hints of he being sick before getting in close proximity of the coffin zone.
Also noticed chapter 55's pg10, the number of crows at that height meaning the stone coffin isn't sealed at the top? so the wild birds can freely feed and defecate the virus all over. Also on pg10 that warning poster on the barrier is scarily well drawn, breathe in the virus explodes the lung.
It's bit of a puzzle why the FMC survives without any apparent ill effect while Iura passed out in ~5 mins, maybe it's like the wife in the opening of movie "27 weeks later", everyone has different level tolerance to what would be a fatal dose of virus. The isolation facility employee does threat Natsuki like high risk carrier, wearing full head cover instead of just breath mask, and not hesitating to use the riot gun.
