A Virus with an over 80% mortality rate that's also vapor-born is a fucking terrifying concept. I can understand where the paranoia comes from. Even if the virus is eliminated to the same degree as smallpox is today, isolated pockets of infection would still pop up from time to time and represent clear and present dangers to the people.
