Synesthesia isn't fictional though. It's a real condition. Seeing someone's emotions, however, makes you an ESPer.

I have sound-color synesthesia and it's nothing like this. It's just some wires crossed in the brain not a super power. I just know my brothers voice sounds like navy, etc, not if he's lying to me. And it's also very easy to tune out. Was kind of excited to see a manga with synesthesia as a topic but idk about this...

Reminds me of a book I read a long time ago called "A Mango Shaped Space", about a girl with synesthesia. spoiler about the book below and how it's similar to this series.

at the end of the book the FMC starts dating a boy who is colorblind.

I'm pretty sure the demographic of the book is middle schoolers or something but you might like it if you want to know more about synesthesia.
