We might see the reason why on the upcoming chapter since it says "a confession". I can finally see this series ending since the author is now wrapping up the loose ends of Ao-kuns past.

I'm a bit confused with Nezumi's head injury. I thought she was attacked but on second look, it looks like it just dramatically erupted on it's own. I guess it was from the fight with Midori but it really looked like her head split open from the remembering.
Edit: On a reread, this actually happened before with Butama.

I guess it's up to Ao to bury Asagi and Midori. I guess it's appropriate since they all named after colors, I think. You know, Iruka mock Midori about never being Asagi number one but she still cried for him and he still came.

Huh I think I misread Ao. He seems to genuinely be past his sister death at this point even with nezumi mentioning it. I was expecting him to kill her but feel guilty or something.

Also I know it's manga so don't take it too realistic especially dark stories like this... but c'mon. Blood gushing out of her head suddenly. I know it's an analogy and everything but seriously its a bit too dramatic, I don't think ever she'll die unless it's literally the last chapter atp. I Just hope iruka and nezumi don't have a 'freaky' scene knowing this author.

We already knew she killed his sister in the very early chapters but the way it was revealed to Ao-kun is really fucked up considering everything could've ended there.

This author is playing with my feelings, I don't know how to feel. The part about "this manga being unrealistic" just adds to the eeriness, the point is the "is he or she dead or not? And HOW?" from thrillers. The author did a good job on that, I was avoidant on this series thinking it was just sufferingporn but my curiosity won and it grew on me. It makes my heart beat like no other

She just jammed her hands into solid concrete to climb a retaining wall. None of this makes sense anymore.

I think at this point the only way Iruka's death will satisfy me is if he ends up being murdered by his beloved Ruri out of jealousy for Nezumi.
