Not gonna lie, I think this story has already given all it had to give. The author has overplayed his hand with how much he tries to add twists. Nothing shocks me anymore and nothing feels intriguing. I’m just waiting for it to end.

I'm just here for the art style and action scenes anymore. Five volumes ago I would've expected the plot to be winding down at this point with Nezumi and Ao getting out of their contract and the last 3 volumes being wholesome couple stuff. If the writer wasn't a bastard, that is.
I guess we're getting bald fat fuck NTR instead? Whatevers hip with the kids, I guess.

I have mixed feelings about this. Ao is a hard-working character (not to Rentaro levels, but still), but it seems so unreal to me that it ends that way. He was struggling so hard for her beloved one, and for him to end up dead from a fatal wound from her is a bitter pill to swallow I still can't accept. The irony in all of this only makes "that" scene more sickening than it is. Midori's death was surprising, but it was bound to happen sooner or later, but Ao's "death" is something I didn't expect, or at least not before he reunited with Nezumi for one last time.

Unless it's a really long stretch, looks like our boy really is dead. They showed Nezumi a video of him being decapitated, even gave her his head in the bag. But the big guy took the bag and threw it over board before she could take a clear look inside. She broke down after that

But the video zooms out when he gets decapitated and we can't really see his face, so it still could be bait, but i don't know anymore...
