Pretty sure you'll need to take an equivalency test to do so, and I wouldn't be surprised if this is also possible in other countries.

It's possible in Europe definitely but I just thought Japan would be more strict about it considering they have that one test at the end of highschool that basically determines everything

Could you perhaps be referring to the college entrance test? I'm not aware of any other standardized test that Japanese high school students need to take.

Either way, I'm pretty sure one still needs to take that after passing the equivalency test if they want to enter university after dropping out of high school.

Yes on the way back from it they also meet one of his old teammates/former friends and thats where it happens

On another note that was not what I expected Makoto and Gen-san to look like but I guess it was them from last chapter after all. Also Chinatsu is not in love with Hajime yet. She has feelings of interest towards him but its not currently love as she doesn't understand what love is. Don't worry though it won't take long for her to realize it
