I can see most people in the comments are more on the punishment side than the reforming side of the industrial prison complex. That's disappointing.

The twin sister seems to hate her so much that even MC thinks it's weird. Yes, she's a spoiled brat but try to think of it this way, "What if the truth you knew for your entire life, one that was hammered into you day by day, was a lie?".

You know those stories about kids running away or becoming depressed when they learn they're adopted? This is basically that but far more extreme. I don't blame the girl, I blame the shitty parents. I hope she gets better because the reality is that she's ill, not evil.

Regardless of indoctrination or not, that family is borderline finished. Attacking a protected person is like spitting in the face of the kingdom. Especially now that she holds its prosperity.
Were this not within the confines of the school and out in the public eye. I wouldn't doubt there being a few "untimely demises".
Ultimately, I wouldn't doubt them being alienated later on when they've grown. To the point of any one of them dying and nary a soul knowing about it.

I also wouldn't be surprised if the spirits "spirited away" a foolish girl or two. Considering the importance of the protagonist.

Margaret's teacher is in on it. She didn't even attempt to stop it and she pulled back like she was running away. Calling it now, she's evil.

Reformation isn't for everyone, deep rooted feelings like hers most likely can't be uprooted without extreme measures

The way they handled the sister in this scene is a little different in the novel.
In the novel, the immediately seal her magic for this.

A 'normal' fire mage just attempted to kill a mythical and unique skill user and they just let it go? Only in badly written manga logic. That bi*ch would have been executed immediately for that.

@Scrabbleman
There's a bit of difference between hating a sibling, and literally attempting to murder them in front of witnesses. Just a smidge. That's evil, even if it was due to something the parent did.

She should have been punished earlier... seriously... just remove this b*tch...

Hell, trying to kill an ordinary student should be a large crime, let alone someone important..

That girl is really Powerful.
I guess we can say she's indeed a reincarnated person too (not with memories) but her hatred towards MC is brought here too..?? 🤔

Wow I got a bigger reprimanding for playing video games too much as a kid and it was only not being allowed to play for a week

Whats wrong with the education in that country?
It's so obvious that the Bitch is insuffarable, very bad attitude and hate her sister with the first she's do when she see her sister she want to kill her?
And then they just forgive n forget?

oh boy just kill her off already
this fictional world is obviously a monarchy and that girl who is the impertinent daughter of a baron and holds no actual nobility rank herself
committed several major crimes already
-attempted murder on her own sister
-attempted assault on a magic teacher with a higher nobility
-attempted assault on a royal knight
-attempted assault on a royal

especially the last one is worth an immediate and summary execution
so how is she still alive or at the very least not in a dungeon without a key?

This goes beyond mere dislike. She just tried to murder her own sister in broad daylight and in front of witnesses, acted as if it was nothing wrong, and even indicated she felt the intended victim deserved her unprovoked assault. She needs a harsh punishment for something like that. Not that I expect her to mend her ways in the slightest. In fact, I expect her to try again in the future.
