Yup, you're right. You can see the similarities between that work and this work.

Same names, similar looking characters leads but older, both female lead have a misunderstood reputation, male lead's classmates is the reason why the male lead meets female lead, etc.

It was the author's most popular work so no wonder the author decided to remake it.
