Huh... were it not for the dialogue, there would be no indication that she time-traveled from the past into the current day, I wonder if that will end up relevant at all as the story goes forwards.

Then again, this is a chapter zero, maybe chapter 1 will actually dig into that some more.

If i remember right, this is from the novel(Night Tide) after the novel(Pat Me Please) where she time-traveled into modern times. So most of the details are in the other one, this is the novel where it took off after that ending. So she is still accumulating to this time as she builds a relationship. She does bring up some details later.

So... the sequel series started getting translated before the original, well that explains it, equal parts amusing and annoying.
