I dunno, I am a bit happy it didn't have him do the standard stuff of blaming it all on the guy they forsook. Until he did, but then it immediately had her point out how he was grasping for straws and proceed to pound it into his head that blaming someone else is just silly, particularly when you only lost their support from forsaking them.
A bit of a breath of fresh air, until/unless it has him leave her next chapter still blaming mc.

In a way, making him such an unbelievable douche really makes things easy plot wise - what if the MC's original team were actually really nice, and dropped him because they were worried about being unable to protect him as they continued chasing their dreams?
It'd create a really interesting dynamic as MC gets better stronger team mates who also like him, and you watch another great group of people fall into a hole; who should the MC prioritise?

But this? This is an easy choice, the original team can get f'd.

to be fair, proper elders and professionals aren't supposed to take insults and tantrums from children personally. For either, you just explain it to them first and then you could deal with them appropriately. Toss them if a customer, demote/fire them if an employee, bring out the belt if a child. You aren't supposed to get mad along with them. Everyone has been handling him pretty appropriately, though you could debate that on the dad bailing him out of prison.

which is why the father bailing him out of jail is debatable. Family is expected to be more lenient with crimes but, yeah, he stabbed someone so you could argue that, rather than cutting him off, his dad should have just left him in prison. Families typically don't work like that when you do stuff like this though.

However, everyone else isn't supposed to be dealing with that. The guild leader is just a guild leader, the store owner is just a store owner, kicking him out or demoting him is what they CAN do, THEY can't rearrest him. Though as we are about to see, they can beat his ass and send him back to jail after if he gets violent.

Further, you're normally supposed to have recognized what your crime is and shown better behavior before you're let back out early. Basically, they're drilling into him the understanding that he was supposed to get before he was out and about, telling him how shitty a person he's been. Honestly, if the GM tossed a violent guy like him out on the street without even pointing out his behavior it would be gross negligence but he's already been released by his daddy so he can't be detained.
