The anime was implying a lot that she was spared by Konoha. From her going down the rankings, to Satoko messaging her that she saw someone that looks a lot like her

Had me wondering if this was going to be a what-if inside of a what-if where Satoko turned into a futnari and things happened, then upon a closer look I saw the wiring lol

I would like to assume Ayaka memory loss is Leader giving her a kiss before leader dies.
Leader wiped Ayaka's memory so she would not feel guilty about killer her.

Leader has a questionable morals too so maybe she just faked her death and wiped the memory of all pursuers.
