This was in the Season 2 episode titled 'Support', episode number 10 (nearly the end of that season and the show in general). This entire 3-chapter arc (that ends with the chapter titled the same as the episode) was contained to that one episode. And it made me feel for this trickster shit hard. Why they gotta cut these onions around me?
I normally find Shu a bit aggravating with his shenanigans, but this time he was so damn serious I couldn't help but feel bad for the guy.
Now for a little chapter analysis... I generally agree with the rest of the gang in their annoyance with Shu. The guy exemplifies the concept of a trickster with how much chaos and mayhem he stirs up.
Raku unintentionally flirting with Tsugumi/Seishirou. Priceless.
And her comments about having an unrequited love... Shit. You know she would try to do that, wouldn't she? But crushes don't necessarily just 'die out' like that. I mean, shit, our boy Raku and his crush Kosaki have been holding onto their feelings for about three, maybe four years at this point, right? With no certainty the other party feels the same, or will ever feel the same. And this strange stasis is pretty much guaranteed to last until the very end of the story, and I fully expect Raku to realize his feelings for Chitoge by that point, too, complicating the matter.
And Ruri thinking about Shu near the end, there, before... that scene. The way she wonders why she's thinking about him just screams 'tsun' ...
