It was a lot longer than 10 chapters ago- the chapter ’Kamikaze’ she was properly introduced in was number 75, over 30 chapters ago. And she was already smitten with him at the time, she just didn’t realize it was actually him until just now.
Though her dialog appeared at least as far back as chapter 67, ‘Delicious’- she was the one on the phone with her oneesan Kosaki giving her instructions on making the chocolates. At the time, she was living at the dorms for her middle school, so couldn‘t appear in person until the new school year started and she entered the story’s high school.

I suppose I can admit she’s got some admirable traits… though I’m pretty sure, like most of the girls, she’s well out of the running. From my perspective, Raku only really has feelings for Chitoge and Kosaki. He just hasn’t quite come to grips with the former, but i think he’s getting to a point where he can’t ignore those feelings for all that much longer, especially with how he was thinking at the end of the ribbon search chapter, 106 ‘Investigation’. He basically admitted in his thoughts he liked ‘tsun’ Chitoge better than ‘disheartened’ Chitoge.
But I’ll admit that ‘best girl’ has nothing to do with whether the male lead is legitimately interested or not.
