Can't lie, I really liked this arc. Nothing overly deep or emotional, it was all just really sweet. Him choosing meeting with Onodera instead of his attachment to his locket was awesome.

I gotta agree. It means his feelings now matter more to him than his feelings then. Regardless of whether those feelings end up pointing elsewhere, ultimately.

Also, the revelation, that I had a sneaking suspicion about, that the picture book came from someone else. Considering Chitoge and her mother Haru have memories with that book together, I'm willing to bet it was her's. There weren't two copies- there was just the one. I made a comment and correction of someone else's comment to that effect back when the picture book first showed up, and someone said 'a copy of that book' about one of them, as if there were two instances, when it was never clear that was ever the case. It would make sense, narratively-speaking, if it was always just one book, passed from one friend to the other.

And we also got the confirmation at some point that Chitoge had brown eyes when younger in a much earlier chapter, just like Kosaki, so that little detail doesn't really mean much, either. But Chitoge also kept that to herself, I think. If it was public knowledge, it would strike Marika from the running outright, as I'm pretty sure she has bright orange eyes.

But, yeah... Kosaki's poor heart, with that shocked face as her mother tells her it wasn't their book, and she can't even remember who she got it from.

And Marika is scheming something, both with the fact that there's no clarity on where the book came from and that last bit where she notices Raku and Kosaki having a certain feel to them... But with the book thing, at least, I can imagine, even if she knows otherwise thanks to her clearer memory of back then, she'll potentially manipulate things so as to make her seem like she gave Kosaki the book back then, even though it is far more likely to be Chitoge.
