While I wasn't rooting for chitoge I'm extremely satisfied with how it turned out.THAT is true love not that he couldn't have had that with onodera but she took to long also his and chitoges bond was a tad bit different closer I guess you could say( I don't know If this happened since it old but maybe the final girl was chosen by poll like in other manga she won the last one)
I don't think it had anything to do with polls. I feel like the whole story was crafted around Chitoge winning, ultimately, while Kosaki represented a dream of a life Raku wanted before Chitoge entered it, so he clung to his crush on her despite his real love being right in front of him and interacting with him regularly as part of the 'false love'.
Far too much of the story, especially the whole criminal gang element, felt especially crafted around the idea that the two gang heirs would end up together.
The outspoken people saying otherwise, I feel like they weren't really reading the same story, or glossed over the Chitoge-centric parts.
Edit:
To be honest, the earliest point, for me, that it was undeniable that Chitoge was, indeed, going to win was... The last actual 'regular date' arc, that started with Chapter 196 "Give It My All". The first two chapters of this arc didn't really give any distinct evidence, and in fact the second chapter felt like things were going extremely bad... but the end of the third chapter was the light at the end of the tunnel, and then the appropriately-titled Chapter 199, "True Love", made it all too obvious, in my opinion.
Once Raku and Chitoge laughed like fools at the end of Chapter 198: "Coincidence", everything went right on that date night. You could tell they were having fun like a couple of joyous lovers.
Actually, there might have been another, earlier... The end of the class trip to Kyoto, Chapter 156: "One Shot", and the one after it, 157: "Transfer", where they found out Chitoge was going to leave for America. The way Raku reacted to that news felt like more than just the heaviness of a mere friend leaving. That whole 'Chitoge's transfer' arc felt like it was meant to hammer home the fact that Raku loved Chitoge, without outright saying it. Especially with how Shu prompted Raku with his questioning at the end of 158: "Question" and continued in 159:"Good Idea".
To be honest, if you keep looking, I'm sure there could be even earlier points, though they probably get more and more subtle, less and less obvious...
You know... there's something to be said for opening scenes of anime or manga... Ignoring the promise girl flashback memory, The first proper interaction between Raku and a female character in the present day of the story was Chitoge jumping over the wall and slamming into him, knee first. And, really, from that point on, they have interactions that, yes, are strained, but... over time, throughout the story, their relations improve, until before they knew it, they didn't hate each other, or even dislike each other. And eventually, it was more than that...
When you have such a dramatic introduction of two characters to each other, it's hard to deny the significance of it. It also makes it so that spot along the wall can be used as a sort of 'memorable location' later on, for the male lead or the couple to gaze at and reminisce about the first meeting with the one they love.
