It is finally done. Big thanks to all the scanlation groups and everyone that started it, continued it, and finished it.

Out of all series with the "coming back in time to aid/ change Oda Nobunaga's fate" premise, this has been the most well-written story so far. Although the majority of the characters feels too two-dimensional being limited to 2-3 emotions, the way those emotions are portrayed in the story is incredibly believable.
The pace was great. I enjoyed the ending arc a lot as the Honnouji incident wasn't just swept over and was properly developed.
I like the ending:
Akechi lived and died with honor. Ken choosing to live in the present.
Oda spearheading to a new future.

It was a great ride, I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did reading it.
Thank you

Oh? Sauce on the first one?

Anyhow, thanks for the Translation!
A pretty good ending, I like it when they show where the characters are now after such an ending timeskip. It certainly was a bit of an Oda-wankfest, but it still remained interesting and grounded, using ambiguities is fair play, really.
The PS2 game Kessen III. It also portrays Mitsuhide as an obviously evil cunning schemer (though not as much as Sengoku Basara). In that game, you can actually recruit European Knights, and you can even have Nobunaga wear completely Western armor. It also portrays Nobunaga as a fusion of Koei's Dynasty Warriors depiction of Cao Cao and Liu Bei, it's a bit jarring.

Okay, but I'm still confused. Why did Ken's dad leave with him ancient finger bones of the incident?
Honestly good question. I guess it's an unfired Chekov's Gun.

My guess is that the author wanted to do a longer, more personal story arc involving Ken and his memories, but the development towards the Honnouji incident sort of become a closure arc with nowhere else to go.

There's a lot of other loose ends in the story, too.

What a ride... honestly, I can't think of a more compelling portrayal of Akechi Mitsuhide.

Also, thank you very much to all who helped get this manga scanlated over all these years!

I remember reading a manga several years ago that was primarily about how Mitsuhide had been wronged in terms of characterisation... it's funny that this one offered up his redemption as a character. What a long, strange ride it's been, and I'm glad they didn't return to their original worlds. I'm tired of that shit

It means that after Oda heard about Akechi final moments from Ken, he decided to give Akechi a proper burial ceremony at Honnouji temple with full honor as part of the Oda clan's retinue, instead of leaving his corpse on the mountain.

As for why Ken's father send him this, I am not sure. Maybe his father attempts to connect with Ken on his archeology work. It is implied that Ken was interested in history as a child, so his father hopes this will interest Ken and both can bond over this new discovery.

Edit: I think Ken's father didn't even leave Ken the finger bone either. He just said that Mochizuki hold onto it at the reception, so he can pick it up when he leaves. However, when Mochizuki ended up traveling back to the past, he just thought he should at least give it to his close family, since he cannot return it.

Hm. That was a tale. That was a journey.

I'm fairly satisfied, although at the same time, the questions lingers, "How does the world change with this?". And unless there's a Ken 2: electric Boogaloo, I guess it will remain nothing more than that.

More importantly: Best Babe in the series?

I think it's Kaede by a mile, although Natsu has her moments.

Wow. Thanks so much for the tremendous amount of work you've put into pumping these out. I've still got 70 chapters to read but I just want to thank everyone who worked on this for all the time and effort you've put into the amazing quality and quantity of your releases.

Thank you so much for all the work you've done!

This is by far my favourite depiction of Mitsuhide. I would also love to see at least a short story of what lies ahead (Ming, Europe).
