I disagree, Mangadex is not a platform for hosting "preview version" as far as I am aware, I don't think anyone would want half the updates on the website main page to be "Here is the first three page of the latest chapter go on our official website to check it out", you can call mangadex illegal but it's for reading manga, not some hybrid advertising platform
In that sense I don't think this comic belong here since it's not self sufficient in its content
@DeathCards I think your idea of advertising would work maybe better if you had some sort of light spinoff here related to your actual serie if that make sense?
It does not fit this genre but just like a manga could have a 4 koma slice of life on mangadex to advertise its main serie elsewhere

@MoistMeal I think people would be more inclined to “read the full official version” if every chapter wasn’t 3 pages long with 0 context. It’s like giving someone a bag of chips and then grabbing the bag from them when they’ve eaten three (singular chips) and telling them to pay for the rest of bag, it’s really off putting and “annoying”.

A much better idea would be to upload 10-15 full “preview chapters” as a prolog to the actual manga, then people (myself atleast) would actually consider buying it.

To any new viewers I recommend turning back (just look at the rating distribution). Aside from the whole “pay wall” issue the mangas pretty average if not below average. The art can barely pass as draft pages and since we only see 3 pages a chapter I can’t get invested in the story.

I have no clue what’s going on. :/ 4/10

Noheroes is a right title. there arent any here. Remove this comic. Its nothing but two pages of nothing per chapter.
if you are gonna paywall the story make the first chapter free, to atleast know the context of the story. any effort you put out doesnt make up anything. i already not want to read your story.

@WhiskeyTendril You misinterpret "suppor the artist" with "paywall". Nobody is forcing anyone to pay, there is no marketing scheme, enjoy the weekly page or don't.

The patreon is there for people to support our work and it also provides all our comic releases so far not only noHeroes! Keep your emotions in check, if you don't like this comic, drop a salty 1 score and move along.

Yes, we put an ad and a link - but that's optional. We stick to our convictions. Every week one page until the first issue is done - until the entire first issue is all online and anyone can read it without a paying a cent.

The Patreon has another 40-page comics that one can read, along with multiple one-shots.
If you want to be frustrated, go ahead, but we will not be apologising to rude, debauching remarks that demean our work simply because we don't abide to how you want comics on Mangadex to be.

The description of this title needs a work around as its mostly confusing readers. Its simple
"A 28 page comic. 1 page posted weekly. Whole comic will be FREE to read by 28 weeks. If you can't wait 28 weeks ,read it on patreon plus support the artist"
Its like that early access stuff on LINE WEBTOONS app. Don't see people complaining over on LINE...why here.
Tbe bad rating is also because of the misunderstanding the description causes.

So it's a 2 pages chapter thing that comes weekly that's basically a dark soulsian comedy hybrid. Kinda cool, but i can't recommend unless you're reading this comment far in the future where the story is basically finished, wich would be chap 28, if i understand correctly. Alternatively, their patreon exists, have at it if you will

I have no clue what is happening but it is a interesting mixed between a comic and manga style that you don't see out there. The cover looked cool, but you probably will not like this if you aren't well versed in Dark Souls or maybe I am just not very good at reading. Hopefully when all the pages of the comic are released they will be put into one post, but looks like you can find it already on Patreon if you if you feel like reading it now.

I am in the process of editing old chapters to remove atleast the cover of each chapter to make it easier to read.
