Short exciting work from Tsutomu. Sadly it's only meant to be a prequel to Blame and doesn't spin into a full-fledged tale.

It's more of a stand-alone story about a bad-ass woman if anything.

For a prequel to Blame! It doesn't require too much knowledge of the prior work. That said, it does kind of explain why things are the way they are in Blame! itself. Heck, even the standalone one-shot Blame could be seen as a prequel of sorts, if you interpret it as an origin story to Killy back in the "old days".

Musubi is a beast.

I've heard fan theories that she's the prototype/ancestor of Sanakan or even the same character (with NOiSE being her origin story).

I just like to think that she's her own character and, even by the time of Blame, she's still roaming the City kicking Silicon Life asses.

Does not compute.
I think this is a bit too much fragmented. Also there is really no story or much world building.
Rather it is just a glimpse at what was before the story of blame!.
