@Robbini In our world do we have to be told observable facts? Nobody needs to tell you carrying 100 kilos by yourself can be a struggle, you know because you have an idea of how weight works by comparing things in your life that have varying degrees of weight. In the same way, the character doesnt need to know the exact average strengh in his world, he can have a rough idea of the difficulty of tasks in his world and make guesses. The MC in this world is a farmer, and it seems that sharing ones status between friends and such is not a strange occurence (he did so himself). By just comparing himself with his peers in his surroundings he can easily get an idea of what at least a baseline is of strengh and simply extrapolate
Im putting into words things we do in everyday life so forgive if its confusing, but if you think about it, a lot of things in our life we are not explicity told how they rank in terms of complexity or difficulty or how things we do compare to others, we just infer them by observation and he seems to fail to do so on something apparently trivial and common.

Sure, he and his friend atleast showed eachother or told eachother their skill levels, but there wasn't any mention of stats in this chapter between them other than maybe the friend commenting on the size of his field, which implies good physical capabilities.
And yes, even if he knows all the stats before the OP happens, he doesn't know how they compare to other classes in the kingdom.
As for when he became OP ? He knows he's OP, but he still didn't know what to compare it to, because he has nothing to compare it to before arriving at the city, finding out the 'scale' or alternatively the dragon or kidnapper.

I believe farming is such a common genre in japan because they are severely repressed by their culture
Japan have a extreme work culture where it is not uncommon to see businessmen collapse from suicide, or outright kill themselves
They all have this idealization of this "slow life", a life without worry and care, living off the land.
There are even movies entirely dedicated to showing the life of a Japanese girl who farms and cook food all day long, there is absolutely no drama in it at all.
Farming is the prime representation of this slow life, so it is a very common theme in Japanese literature, or so I think anyway.

I checked the Raw link download for what appears to be the tankobon release, and it says "Complete" instead, which they likely fixed during the official release.

Totally. It's not unlike how many people in North America envision what an idealized life would be like away from the stressful life of city living and addicted to social media. In Japan, that notion used to be opening up a cafe/small business (you can still see plenty of new manga being written about that), and now farming stories is gaining popularity. In North America, it's urban chicken farming (among hipsters, who ultimately can't handle it and stop), rooftop urban gardening, or down-sizing and living on the road with a tiny mobile home on wheels (like trailers or converted buses)...And if you go further back in recent decades, it was entertaining the thought of living the hermit life in a forest with a dog, homesteading in rural areas, or living the tropical life on the beach-side like Cast Away, but with a beach house. When you really think about it, most people aren't so different when it comes to envying what they think would be an easier lifestyle, seeing greener grass on the other side. The main thing all these examples have in common are "the slow life".
