@Bartolumiu so when I'll be able to see & click on ads related to cross-dressing, any brand with international shipping? Just asking for a friend, definitely not @Plykiya
I know absolutely nothing about manual adblock filters, but when I blocked the banner and it appeared again on the next page-load, I manually changed the filter fromfilter: mangadex.org##[href^="https://www.runoperagx.com/96DB54B/KR8KMFX/"]
frame filter: mangadex.org##.flex.flex-col.items-center.justify-center.rounded.bg-accent.h-32.p-4.text-sm.sm\:text-base.break-words
just get Ublock and learn to use itI know absolutely nothing about manual adblock filters, but when I blocked the banner and it appeared again on the next page-load, I manually changed the filter from
mangadex.org/promo/operagx/xl3%20opera%20en%201.png$image
where that 201 changes between ads, to
mangadex.org/promo/$image
and that seems to have worked.
I blocked the direct address of the ad and that worked but apparently posting the link gets it removed.I know absolutely nothing about manual adblock filters, but when I blocked the banner and it appeared again on the next page-load, I manually changed the filter from

I hope they manage to go mainstream.

Right click the object to block, select "Block element...", select "Preview", click down the list starting from the top until too much disappears, then click one back up so it blocks the maximum level of what you want blocked.I know how to use it (and thanks for the rule). But it's not like it's that intuitive for non-techies to figure out the filters.
I hope they manage to go mainstream.
If they do so, it will singlehandedly change the industry (outside of Japan) from shitty mobile apps and coins bullshit to a one-subscription unlock-all webapp. Emphasis on no coins bullshitery.
I doubt that a subscription like Spotify will catch on for manga:I hope they manage to go mainstream.

Wait, really?! What was the rule/reason quoted when they did that, because afaik md-forums has no rule against neither practicing safeinteresting how the comment with instructions for how the block the ad, and my comment that quoted those instructions, have both been removed. Very nice. Well done, mangadex staff. Doing a great job of beating the sketchy allegations. Hope that opera affiliate program really comes through for you.
I probably wouldn't call it sus either, but it is absolutely not in line with official publishers afaik? Isn't "mature" usually just a tag used for what md currently calls "erotica" (stories to keep one hand busy), while on the contrary md's "pornographic" tag is used for actual porn (aka hentai, often - but not limited to - of the doujin kind)?Oh, that one seemed to be just to put it in line with what official publishers use. I wouldn't call that sus
I wonder if the MD team explained what's under that 'mature' tag during the discord call with the sponsors.Oh, that one seemed to be just to put it in line with what official publishers use. I wouldn't call that sus
Not likelyI wonder if the MD team explained what's under that 'mature' tag during the discord call with the sponsors.![]()
"It's the stuff you like IRL if combined with the Lolicon tag, but, you will want to hear this, it's fictional!"I wonder if the MD team explained what's under that 'mature' tag during the discord call with the sponsors.![]()
no reason was given. no notification either. I just came back to the thread to see how the conversation was going and noticed that my comment and the one I quoted were gone. People have given pretty much the same advice since and haven't had their comments removed so perhaps someone was just being a little overzealous earlier and cooler heads are prevailing now. Or whoever was deleting the comments went to sleep. Who knows? I'm expecting about as much insight on that decision as I am on their advertising choices or finances.Wait, really?! What was the rule/reason quoted when they did that, because afaik md-forums has no rule against neither practicing safesexwebsurfing (block ads), nor against helping others do so?
Either way, seems extremely draconian/sus if they not only did so, but actually did so without using their usual system of leaving the comment in-place, but edited by the mod to only say the reason for the removal.
(and to be clear, I am not asking if it is true you had such a comment, I saw both of them before, myself. The "really?" was more about signifying an outburst of surprise)
